My husband and I both go to Landmark, we find it to be a relaxing and pleasant experience:) Knowledgeable and Friendly staff:)
I would rate Landmark 5 stars if it was solely based on customer service, but unfortunately there are several other factors to consider. Dr. Horton opined I needed multiple fillings and a periodontal cleaning which would cost me approximately $800 (WITH insurance). I sought a second opinion from a well-respected dentist in Louisville who strongly disagreed with Dr. Horton's findings. I was advised I didn't need ANY fillings nor did I need a periodontal cleaning, but only sufficient home care and a routine cleaning with a follow-up, which would cost me $100 per cleaning (WITHOUT insurance). The new dentist mentioned several times that it bothered him that they recommended fillings and periodontal cleaning as both an exam and x-rays did not indicate I needed either. Needless to say I won't be returning to Landmark. Their findings are excessive and prices are unreasonable.
Follow up. In and out in about 30 minutes. Quick easy painless and I was right laughed about it. Keep them five stars
Also, it was recommended I have a crown placed. I have had problems with the crown (pain while chewing food).
These people want to con you into spending a lot of money on things you don't need! They don't listen when I talk. They don't really care about their patients. I went in for a cleaning, was there 2 hours!, and still never got my teeth cleaned!!! The girl was more worried about having conversations with the other girls
I see some negative post on here. I'm sure all are valid to their respective opions. I've been there multiple times now. A doctor there was ok but didn't have much on the people skills. The last two visits I saw Dr. Horton. She was and is amazing! GREAT people skills and very down to earth. I had 2 crowns done yesterday (first crown ever) I can't price it, honestly I'm blessed with great insurance. Who likes to sit in a chair for 2 plus hours with a your mouth open and numb? No one! But the staff was excellent! Today Dr Horton herself called to make sure everything was good with my temporary crowns. Most Dr's don't take the time to do that any more. I did express some minor discomfort, younger rubbing a edge. She told me multiple times come back and they'll fix it. Now one of my temporary crowns popped off. We'll dang! I'm confident with how I've been treated that tomorrow morning we'll all laugh and I'll get fixed right up. So yes all things mishap I rate them 5 stars. Especially Dr Horton and the hygienist I've seen there. I'll leave a follow-up tomorrow.
I saw the ad for Landmarks Dental "Take-home Whitening Free" for new pts. I am new to the area and needed a new dentist so I thought "Why not?". Upon check-out I was given (1) tube of whitening gel (the price is 3 tubes for $70) and I had to ask/ remind them of it. The ad clearly states the whitening product is regularly $199.
Despite of these things, I found the dentist to be very nice and informative. Most of the office staff was nice. Just beware.
